Gymnastics Team

WCPA offers a competitive gymnastics program for those students wanting an opportunity to compete in local competitions and to push their training to the next level. The WCPA gymnastics team is open to students 7 years and older who are able to accurately perform a list of qualifying tricks on the floor exercise, uneven bars, balance beam and vault.

Competition requires Time, Talent, and Dedication. We believe that competition should bring out the best in a student’s talent, build self-image, develop personality, character and perseverance, and foster friendships. Our philosophy is not about winning. We never strive to be THE best, but rather be OUR best. That is the real “Win.” We do not want to critique others, but concentrate on improving our own capabilities and talents. We believe the values gained through competitive gymnastics will stay with our students beyond their gymnastics training and transform into lessons for everyday life.

WCPA Competitive gymnasts compete through the CARA (Colorado Association of Recreational Athletics) gymnastics program. Gymnasts compete in 4 competitions during the months of May-July, and a regional and state meet if qualifying scores are met.
